Thomas Porter of Washington was an outstanding pitcher on softball teams in various Washington area leagues for many years.

Porter, who attended Trinity High School, was a member of such teams as Jessop Club, Moose Lodge, Court Billiards, Gardner's and the Hazel Atlas No 2 Fruit Jar League.

His other sports activities included playing sandlot football in Washington's West End.

Porter estimates he was a member of approximately 18 softball teams which won championship trophies and says being selected to the Hall of Fame is the highest individual honor he has received.
