1989 - SOCCER
Theodore A. Zatta of R. D. 3, Avella, started his amateur soccer career in 1930 with the Donahue Red Jackets. He joined the Polar Star team in 1933 when it won the Washington County Soccer League championship and was runnerup for the West Penn Cup.

Zatta played for Polar Star in the Washington County and Keystone Leagues until 1958 with the exception of a few years when the team did not compete. Polar Star also won the Washington County title in 1941.

He also played for Arden Athletic Club, Muse, Langeloth, Keystone All-Stars, Pittsburgh Indians and Avella American Legion.

Zatta ended his active playing career after the 1958 season.
