John Lukon of Burgettstown played
shortstop for Burgettstown High School and in the Burgettstown Community
League.
He played minor league baseball at Jamestown, NY., Valdosta, GA. and
Cordele, GA. before serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1941 through
1944.
Lukon resumed his professional career at Memphis in the Southern
Association and later played for Dormont in the Pittsburgh City League
and Burgettstown in the Washington County League. |
