Bingo's outstanding baseball career
spanned more than 13 years. His 4 years in the Cleveland Indians farm
system including Smithfield, N.C., Ardmore, Okla., Dayton, Ohio and
Tucson, Ariz. could be the highlight of most athletic careers. But
batting championships in front of his hometown fans meant the most. He
had a .412 batting average.
