Harry W. (Rocky) Bails
East Washington High School
Football – Posthumous
• Standout athlete at E. Washington, lettering in football, basketball
and track
• Named All-WPIAL in football in 1957
• Joined the Army in 1957 and continued to play football as an honorary
Marine
• Played for the Washington Generals in 1966
• Started the Mighty Mac football program in Canonsburg, coaching for 9
seasons and winning 7 Parkway championships
• Coached the undefeated, un-scored upon 1974 team to the championship
• The Mighty Macs won 5 consecutive championships with Bails as coach
• Also coached Little League and Pony League baseball in Canonsburg,
winning a Little League championship and back to back Pony championships
• Coached several All-Star baseball teams to tournament finals on many
occasions
• Harry coached or coached against many of the players and coaches in
the Wash-Greene Hall of Fame
• He believed all kids should play sports and was known to pay
registration fees for less fortunate players so they could participate
