• Played football, baseball, basketball and track
• All-County in football and basketball as a senior
• All-Conference / All-WPIAL quarterback
• Lions Club Most Valuable Player
• Hold school record for career touchdown passes
• National Honor Society
• Who’s Who Among American High School Students
• Won 3 first place finishes at the Washington County track meet winning the 100, 200 and 440, proceeding to the WPIAL finals in the 440

United States Naval Academy

• Participated in football and lacrosse
• 3 year letterman at quarterback
• Threw a record 23 touchdown passes for the Navy freshman team
• Named the Chevrolet Most Valuable Player in the 1971 Army-Navy game
• Received All-East recognition

• Following graduation, commissioned and served as an officer in the United States Navy
